WKU Suicide:- Western Kentucky University Police Department are currently investigating a student death that happened today, Wednesday, the 23rd of October 2024 at Parking Structure 3.
“Today, we lost a valuable member of the WKU family,” WKUPD said. “We extend our deepest condolences to … family, loved ones and friends. In the wake of this tragedy, we encourage individuals in need of counseling to contact the WKU Counseling Center at 270-745-3159.
According to WKUPD Chief Mitch Walker, the unidentified student died by suicide. Thoughts are with the individual’s family, friends and loved ones as they navigate this painful loss.
“The death of any member of our WKU community is tragic and may be difficult to cope with,” WKU University Spokesperson Jace Lux said in a statement. Coping with such a loss can be incredibly challenging.
