One of the victims of the recent fatal helicopter crash has been identified and the cause of death confirmed by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. One of the victims has been identified as Cesar Lerma, a loving father and careful professional who specializes in kitchen and bathroom remodelling.
Lerma, a father of three, prepared a helicopter ride over the city to fulfill his youngest son’s wish. This gesture turned tragedy as the helicopter crashed, killing everyone on board. Kauffman didn’t watch the helicopter crash footage that has been going viral on social media until Wednesday.
The family’s selfie inside the helicopter and their pre-boarding photo were recovered by authorities. The pilot, identified as Joe Lerma, Sr., died mostly from multiple blunt force injuries, according to HCIFS. Lerma, his wife, and their younger child died from a number of thermal burn injuries and blunt force injuries.
