U.S. Department of State Stabilization Advisor Otis Holloway of Washington, DC has sadly passed away. He died on Wednesday 23rd October 2024 at the age of 34. He was confirmed dead through a post that reads “Rest In Peace @odiegotyarockin we love you Tre It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of our brother, Otis Holloway (Fall ’11, Tre Club). Otis passed away last night, October 23rd, in Washington, D.C.”
What happened to Otis Holloway?
The circumstances surrounding the actual cause of Otis Holloway’s death has not been made known at this time. After completing his studies at the University of Cape Town in 2010, he went on to pursue further education at Trinity College-Hartford, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 2012. Subsequently, he continued his education at American University, where he received a Master of Arts (MA) in International Peace and Conflict Resolution in 2016.
Between August 2010 and November 2010, he worked as an intern at the Open Democracy Advice Centre in Cape Town for a period of four months. From June 2011 to August 2011, he worked as an intern in the Building Community program at Columbia University for a period of three months. Between the months of August 2009 and May 2012, he worked as a Residential Assistant at Trinity College in Hartford for a total of two years and ten months.
Between the months of March 2010 and May 2012, he worked as a Recruitment Intern at Trinity College – Hartford (Admissions) for a period of three years. Between July 2012 and August 2013, he worked for the City of Atlanta as a Constituent Specialist for a period of one year and two months. For a period of eleven months, beginning in February 2014 and ending in December 2014, he worked as a Research Assistant at the Centre for Children and Social Responsibility in Washington, DC.
Between September 2014 and December 2014, he worked as an intern in the International Affairs Office of the United States Department of the Treasury for a period of four months. Between May 2018 and September 2019, he served as the Stabilization Advisor at EverWatch in Washington, DC, for a period of one year and five months. Within the United States Department of State, he served as a Stabilization Advisor.
