In a letter to the Brunswick community, Superintendent Phillip J. Potenziano shared the tragic news of the unexpected death of a high school student, Anna Hart, on October 22.
He extended his condolences to her family and friends and informed that students would be notified of the death by their Flex teachers on October 23. Crisis support is available for students in the coming days and weeks.
Potenziano addressed the potential topic of suicide among adolescents, emphasizing that it is a complex issue often linked to mental health conditions, which are treatable.
