Western Michigan University Graduate Teaching Assistant Jessica Molloy of Grand Rapids, Michigan has sadly passed away. She died leaving those who knew her devastated. She was a force to be reckoned with and was loved and cherished by many that crossed her path. The actual cause of Jessica Molloy’s death has not been released by the family.

After completing her undergraduate studies, Jessica continued her education at Grand Valley State University, earning a Master of Education (MEd) in Literacy Studies. This advanced degree equipped her with the tools to enhance literacy instruction and foster a love of reading in her students. Recognizing the importance of a strong educational background, she further pursued her studies in English education at Western Michigan University, broadening her expertise in teaching methodologies.

Jessica’s professional career began in earnest when she joined Godwin Heights Public Schools as a teacher in August 2004. Over the course of nearly 17 years, she became a cornerstone of the educational community, known for her proactive approach and unwavering dedication. Her commitment to creating supportive learning environments helped countless students thrive, as she worked tirelessly to implement structures that catered to diverse learning styles.
In addition to her role as a classroom teacher, Jessica also served as an Adjunct Professor at Grand Valley State University. This position allowed her to inspire future educators and share her extensive knowledge and experience, fostering a new generation of passionate teachers. In 2023, Jessica took on the role of Graduate Teaching Assistant at Western Michigan University, furthering her own education while continuing to support students and faculty.
