Nikita Azzopardi Melbourne Death, Woman died after stabbing in South Morang Murder

Nikita Azzopardi of Melbourne has sadly passed away. She was found stabbed to death by a family member on Monday 28th October 2024 in South Morang at the age of 35. Nikita was last seen celebrating at a birthday party over the weekend. Concerned after she stopped responding to calls and messages, her older brother, Shaun Azzopardi, took it upon himself to check on her.

The family had initially visited her Reid Street residence the night before, noticing lights were on but receiving no response after knocking. Believing she was simply unwell, they left without further incident. However, Shaun returned on Monday morning, where he was informed that Nikita was still asleep.

Growing increasingly anxious, he called the police, who arrived to find the scene far worse than anyone could have imagined. They located Nikita’s body and subsequently arrested a 33-year-old man on the street, believed to be her boyfriend. This man, who is not known to police, is currently cooperating with authorities during their investigation.

A homicide investigation has been initiated, with detectives expected to remain on-site until midnight as they gather evidence. Part of the street has been closed off to facilitate their work. Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to reach out to Crime Stoppers.

Nikita Azzopardi was described by her family as a loving and caring daughter, sister, and friend. Her warm spirit and kindness touched the lives of everyone who knew her. From a young age, Nikita exhibited a strong sense of compassion. Her family often reflected on how she brought joy into their lives, reminding them of the importance of love and support in a world that can sometimes feel overwhelming.

As a sister, she was a confidante and a source of strength. Her siblings often spoke of their adventures together, filled with laughter and shared secrets that created unbreakable bonds. As a daughter, she brought light into her family’s home, her presence a constant reminder of love and connection.

Nikita Azzopardi’s obituary will be released by the family
