He was announced dead by the family through a post that reads ““It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our brother, Linnie Patrick. Please keep our family in your prayers. Funeral arrangements will be announced soon.” The cause of his death is unknown.
Linnie Patrick was a standout running back for the Alabama Crimson Tide from 1980 to 1983, under the legendary head coach Paul “Bear” Bryant. During his time at Alabama, Patrick rushed for an impressive 1,463 yards and 16 touchdowns, showcasing his remarkable talent and determination on the field.
