Pennsylvania Corrections Department Police Officer Dale Kozarovich of Burgettstown has sadly passed away. He died after being involved in a motorcycle accident on Monday 28th October 2024 at the age of 32. He was confirmed dead through a Facebook post that reads “It is with heavy hearts that our department, our close friends, and community as a whole remember the life of Officer Kozarovich.”
Dale Kozarovich Birth and Career
Born on December 31, 1991, in Sewickley, Dale Kozarovich was the cherished son of Daniel and Sandra Kozarovich, and the late Donna Lee (Black) Kozarovich. Dale’s professional journey was marked by a commitment to public service. He served at the State Correctional Institute of Greene County, where he was known for his integrity and dedication.
A member of the Hanover Township Police Department, he recently transitioned to the role of Corrections Department Police Officer, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to the safety and well-being of his community. To know Dale was to understand the essence of a truly wonderful individual. His spirit was infectious, inspiring those around him to strive for excellence and to find joy in every moment.

In addition to his father and step mother, he is survived by a brother and sister-in-law Daniel Jr. and Julie Kozarovich; his nephews, Azariah, Judson, Mitchell and Donnie Kozarovich; and his grandfather Samuel Black. Family and friends are welcome to call at the MCCONNELL FUNERAL HOME, 447 Pine St. Hookstown, PA. 15050 on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm.
Everyone is asked to meet at the Community Bible Church, 4549 Route # 151 Aliquippa, PA. 15001, Monday where his service will be held at 11 am. Pastor Robert Kern will officiate. He will be laid to rest in the Mill Creek Hill Cemetery; Georgetown.
