Death: Jason Shields Pittsburgh PA Accident, Man struck and killed by excavator bucket at construction site in Stowe Township

Jason Shields, a resident of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, a construction equipment sales person and a Mamont Supply Inc has tragically passed away. He was 52 years old at the time of his death. He was a loving husband and father to three boys. There is no one else quite like him. Even though those who loved him will miss him a lot, his spirit lives on in everyone he touched. Who was Jason Shields?

A 52-year-old man was killed Tuesday morning at a construction site in Stowe Township by an excavator bucket, according to Allegheny County police. First responders were called to 2201 Robinson Blvd., where Mamont Supply Inc. was working. They were unable to save the man. By early Tuesday evening, the back end of the excavator was still off the ground and slanted forward. Detectives said there was no foul play.

According to the investigation, the victim was working on the ground in front of the concrete processor, which is connected to the end of the excavator’s arm, when it tilted toward her. According to reports, someone else was operating the excavator at the time. The victim sold construction equipment as a part-time employee of Mamont Supply Inc. OSHA is leading the inquiry. The agency has six months to complete the investigation and release its findings. The construction site will be closed for the rest of the week due to the tragedy.
