Jonathan Dunn Blackwood NJ Death:- Monmouth University Football offensive lineman Jonathan Dunn has sadly passed away. He was a two-time All-NEC offensive lineman. Jonathan Dunn, a resident of Blackwood New Jersey was announced dead today, Monday, the 28th of October 2024. He died at the age of 40. No cause of death was reported.
Monmouth University Football released the following statement:
“The Monmouth Football Family is saddened to hear about the passing of Jonathan Dunn. Jonathan was a two-time All-NEC offensive lineman and a key contributor on our 2006 championship team. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and teammates during this difficult time.”
About Jonathan Dunn
Jonathan Dunn was a standout offensive lineman who started for three years at Monmouth University, excelling at both left and right guard. In his senior year (2006), he started all 12 games at left guard, earning First Team All-Northeast Conference honors and being named to the Football Gazette First Team Mid-Major All-America list.
Under his protection, the Hawks’ offense ranked highly in the Northeast Conference, allowing only 13 sacks in 12 games. As a junior (2005), he started eight games, contributing to a line that allowed just 16 sacks. Dunn played in 10 games as a sophomore and did not see action as a freshman.
Prior to college, he was a two-sport athlete at Washington Township High School in New Jersey, excelling in both football and basketball. He earned multiple all-conference honors in football and helped lead his team to a strong record. Jonathan, born on February 23, 1984, in Philadelphia, is majoring in anthropology.
