Tony Desousa of Clark, New Jersey has died. He passed away on Monday 21st October 2024 at the age of 47. The news of his death was known through “Our hearts are shattered, my cousin Tony passed away on Monday at the young age of 47. So unfair. Tony was more like a big brother to me all my life, truly an incredible person, that I always looked up to.” The cause of his death is unknown.
Born and raised in Elizabeth, New Jersey, Tony De Sousa was a beacon of light in the lives of those who knew him. He was the beloved son of Antonio and Celia De Sousa, who instilled in him the values of love, respect, and hard work. Throughout his life, Tony embodied these principles, making his parents incredibly proud.
Tony shared a special bond with his brother, Eddie. Their connection was rooted in shared experiences and cherished memories, each supporting the other through life’s ups and downs. This brotherly love was a testament to the strong family values that defined the De Sousa household.
In addition to his brother, Tony had a deep affection for his nieces, Alexandra and Olivia. He was not just an uncle to them; he was a mentor, a confidant, and a friend. Tony delighted in their accomplishments and was always there to celebrate their milestones, big or small. His love for them was evident in the countless memories they created together.

Tony Desousa is survived by his wife Christine, children Christopher, Daniel, Ryan, and Sofia. In addition to his immediate family, Tony leaves behind an extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins and a community of friends who will miss his warmth and generous spirit.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Visitation at Walter Johnson Funeral Home, Clark, on Thursday, October 24 from 4 – 8 pm. The Funeral begins on Friday at 9 am at the Funeral Home, thence to Our Lady of Fatima, Elizabeth, where a Funeral Mass will be offered at 10 am. Interment will follow in St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia.
